In 2015, Elijah Chatman was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49ers. He spent two seasons with the 49ers before being traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2017. Chatman played for the Dolphins for three seasons before signing with the New York Giants in 2020.
