Conklin played college football at Michigan State University, where he was a standout offensive lineman. He was named a first-team All-American and first-team All-Big Ten during his time with the Spartans. Conklin declared for the 2016 NFL Draft after his junior year and was selected eighth overall by the Tennessee Titans.
