Darden first began his football career at Alief Elsik High School in Texas, where he excelled as a versatile player. After high school, he went on to play college football at the University of North Texas, where he became a standout player for the Mean Green. During his time at North Texas, Darden set multiple school records and received numerous accolades for his performance on the field.
