Hansen began his football career at the University of Illinois where he played for the Fighting Illini from 2016 to 2020. During his time at the university, he showed exceptional skills as a linebacker and was a key player in the team’s defense. In his senior year, he led the Big Ten Conference in tackles and was named the Big Ten Linebacker of the Year.
