Before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers, Fields played college football at Ohio State University. During his time at Ohio State, he put up impressive numbers and earned several accolades, including being named a consensus All-American and winning the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year award twice. His performances on the field caught the attention of NFL scouts, and he was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
