Lamm attended Appalachian State University, where he played college football for the Mountaineers. After a successful college career, Lamm entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2015, signing with the Houston Texans. He spent four seasons with the Texans, during which he played in 55 games, starting in 24 of them.
