McCormick began his football career at a young age, playing for his high school team in Houston. He later went on to play college football at Texas A&M University, where he excelled as a powerful and technically sound offensive lineman. He was eventually selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL Draft, and he has been a key player on their offensive line ever since.
