Jones, whose full name is Matthew William Jones, was born on July 7, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois. He is of American nationality and has played for multiple teams throughout his career. Jones started his college football career at Houston, where he played for the University of Houston Cougars. He later transferred to the Louisiana State University and played for the LSU Tigers.
