
Wells started his professional career with Bermuda Hogges in 2010 before joining Carlisle United on loan in 2011. He then moved to Bradford City in 2011, where he had a successful spell, scoring 53 goals in 131 appearances. After impressing at Bradford City, Wells signed for Huddersfield Town in 2014, where he continued to showcase his goal-scoring prowess. During his time at Huddersfield Town, Wells also had loan spells at Queens Park Rangers and Burnley.
