Leverett’s football journey began at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he played for the Charlotte 49ers football team as an offensive lineman. After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Leverett signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent. He spent the 2020 season on the Buccaneers’ practice squad.
