Patterson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He was waived by the Vikings during final roster cuts but was later signed to the practice squad. In November 2021, Patterson was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars to their active roster.
