After playing college football at Texas Tech University, Eguavoen went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft. Despite going undrafted, he signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2018 and made his NFL debut in the same year. Eguavoen impressed with his performance on the field and quickly became a valuable player for the Dolphins. He played for the team until 2020 before signing with the New York Jets in 2021.
