Sam Roberts was born in Miami, Florida, and grew up with a passion for football. He attended Miami Central High School, where he excelled as a defensive lineman and caught the attention of college recruiters. Roberts went on to play college football at the University of Florida, where he continued to impress with his skills on the field.
