Carse began his cricketing journey in South Africa but moved to England to pursue his career. He plays domestic cricket for Durham, where he has been a standout performer in the County Championship, One Day Cup, and T20 Blast. Known for his pace and ability to generate bounce, Carse is capable of bowling at high speeds and can also contribute useful lower-order runs. His performances in domestic cricket led to his inclusion in the England squad, and he made his ODI debut for England against Pakistan in July 2021.
