Sainz began his F1 career in 2015 with the Scuderia Toro Rosso team, which is the sister team to Red Bull Racing. He spent three seasons with Toro Rosso before making the move to the Renault F1 team in 2017. After two seasons with Renault, he joined the McLaren F1 team in 2019, where he achieved considerable success with multiple podium finishes and consistent points-scoring finishes.
