Irvine’s Formula 1 career began in 1993 when he made his debut with the Jordan team. He then went on to race for the Ferrari team from 1996 to 1999, during which time he achieved considerable success, including several race wins and podium finishes. Irvine’s time at Ferrari was marked by his rivalry with his teammate, the legendary Michael Schumacher, and he ultimately finished second in the World Championship in 1999.
