Acquah was born on February 21, 2000, in Accra, Ghana. He began his professional football career at the age of 17 when he signed for Accra-based club Liberty Professionals FC. During his time at Liberty Professionals, Acquah quickly established himself as a prolific goal scorer and caught the attention of scouts from European clubs.
