Brophy began his football career at the youth academy of Brentford before joining the first team in 2013. He made his professional debut for Brentford in a League Cup match against Dagenham & Redbridge in August 2013. He spent time on loan at clubs such as Dulwich Hamlet and Newport County before signing a permanent deal with Leyton Orient in 2017.
