Born on March 7, 1997, in Hull, England, Clackstone began his footballing career in the youth system of his hometown club, Hull City. He progressed through the ranks at Hull City and made his first-team debut for the club in the EFL Cup in 2015. Clackstone also spent time on loan at National League side Braintree Town during his time at Hull City.
