Bacuna began his professional career with FC Groningen, his hometown club, in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football. He made his debut for the club in 2014 and quickly established himself as a key player in the team. Bacuna’s impressive performances caught the attention of English Championship club Huddersfield Town, who signed him in 2018.
