After a brief spell at Derby County, Thomas went on loan to Blackpool and Notts County before signing for Burton Albion in 2016. He then had loan spells at Swindon Town and Solihull Moors before joining Walsall in 2020. In the summer of 2021, he signed for Aldershot Town.
