Garrard began his football career playing in the youth setup of West Ham United before moving on to play for various clubs in the lower leagues of English football. He has had stints at clubs such as AFC Wimbledon, Eastbourne Borough, Cambridge City, Boreham Wood, and Bishop’s Stortford.
