In January 2021, Gotts joined Salford City on loan for the remainder of the season, in a bid to gain more playing time and further develop his skills. Following his loan spell, Gotts signed for Barrow AFC in August 2021, seeking a new challenge and more opportunities to showcase his abilities in the competitive world of professional football.
