Widdrington began his youth career at Portsmouth FC before moving to Bristol City in 2016. He made his first-team debut for Bristol City in a League Cup match against Plymouth Argyle in August 2017. After spending three years with Bristol City, Widdrington joined Aldershot Town in 2019.
