Leon Edwards was born on August 25, 1991, in Kingston, Jamaica, and moved to Birmingham, England, at a young age. He began training in mixed martial arts as a teenager and quickly showed promise in the sport. Edwards turned professional in 2011 and joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2014.
