Cooper started his career at the youth academy of Manchester United before moving to Middlesbrough’s youth system. He made his professional debut for Middlesbrough in 2012 and went on to have loan spells at several clubs including Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers. Cooper joined Bolton Wanderers in 2019 and has since become a key player for the team.
