Martin began his career at Norwich City, where he rose through the ranks of the youth academy before making his first-team debut in 2006. He enjoyed several successful loan spells at clubs such as Luton Town, Swindon Town, and Crystal Palace before establishing himself as a key player for Norwich City. Martin scored 62 goals in 206 appearances for the Canaries, helping the team achieve promotion to the Premier League in 2011.
