Kachunga began his professional career in 2010 with Borussia Mönchengladbach II before moving on to Hertha BSC II. In 2015, he joined SC Paderborn 07, where he had a successful stint before making a move to Huddersfield Town in 2016. Kachunga played a key role in Huddersfield’s promotion to the Premier League in the 2016-2017 season. He later joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan in 2020 before signing permanently with the club.
