Okenabirhie began his career in the youth academy of Stevenage before making his professional debut for the club in 2014. He had loan spells at Harrow Borough and Hemel Hempstead Town before joining Dagenham & Redbridge in 2016. Okenabirhie had a successful stint at Dagenham, scoring 23 goals in 79 appearances before earning a move to Shrewsbury Town in 2018.
