Jones joined Everton’s youth team in 2005 and worked his way through the ranks before making his senior debut in 2014. He also had loan spells at Plymouth Argyle and Barnsley during his time at Everton. In 2017, Jones signed a two-year contract with Fleetwood Town, where he made over 50 appearances before moving to Mansfield Town in 2019. After a brief stint at Mansfield, Jones signed with Bolton Wanderers in August 2020.
