Bowen started his professional career at Hereford United, where he made his debut at the age of 17. He quickly caught the eye of scouts with his impressive performances and goal-scoring abilities, which led to a move to Hull City in 2014. At Hull, Bowen continued to impress, scoring 52 goals in 124 appearances for the club.
