Rankin-Costello began his youth career at Blackburn Rovers, where he developed his skills and ultimately earned a spot on the senior team. He made his first-team debut for Blackburn Rovers in 2016 and has since become an integral part of the squad. In addition to his time with Blackburn, Rankin-Costello has also spent time on loan at AFC Darwen to gain more experience and playing time.
