In 2017, Godden made the move to League One side Stevenage, where he continued to impress with his goal-scoring prowess. His performances caught the eye of Coventry City, who signed him in the summer of 2018. Since joining Coventry, Godden has been a key player for the club, helping them win promotion to the Championship in the 2019-2020 season.
