Hovland turned professional in 2019 and quickly made an impact on the PGA Tour. He earned his first professional win at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open, becoming the first Norwegian to win on the PGA Tour. Hovland’s career continued to rise as he secured additional victories, including wins at the 2020 Mayakoba Golf Classic and the 2021 BMW International Open on the European Tour. His consistent performance and skill have made him one of the top young golfers in the world.
