Edwards played college football at the University of Kentucky, where he was a standout player in the defensive backfield. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft and spent his first two seasons with the team. In March 2021, Edwards was traded to the Buffalo Bills, where he has continued to showcase his abilities as a reliable and hard-hitting safety.
