During his loan spell at Plymouth Argyle in the 2018-2019 season, Telford enjoyed a successful campaign, scoring 11 goals in 41 appearances. This form led to Barrow AFC signing Telford in the summer of 2019. In his debut season for Barrow, Telford helped the team gain promotion to the Football League for the first time in 48 years.
