Mavropanos began his professional career with Greek club PAS Giannina in 2016, where he quickly caught the eye of scouts with his impressive performances. In January 2018, he signed for English club Arsenal, one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. However, due to injuries and competition for places, Mavropanos found playing time limited at Arsenal and was subsequently loaned out to German club VfB Stuttgart in 2020.
