Fritz was born in California in 1997 to former players Kathy May and Guy Fritz. He won the 2015 US Open boys’ title and turned professional soon afterwards. A tennis family provided expertise, but junior travel and early Challenger seasons were developmental expenditure. HMW does not treat his parents’ careers, the family name or junior ranking as wealth belonging to him.

His first ATP title came at Eastbourne in 2019. The larger breakthrough was Indian Wells in 2022, where he beat Rafael Nadal in the final despite an ankle problem. That Masters 1000 trophy helped establish him as the leading American man and increased sponsor exposure. Subsequent top-ten seasons made endorsement income more durable than a single upset or one tournament cheque.

Fritz reached the 2024 US Open final after defeating Frances Tiafoe in five sets. The tournament’s official preview records that it was his first major final. The ATP purse schedule awarded $1.8 million to each singles runner-up, a documented component of his cumulative prize income.

He then reached the 2024 ATP Finals championship match, becoming the first American man to do so since James Blake in 2006. The official final report records Fritz’s year-end No. 4 ranking. Fritz earned $5,938,539 in tournament prize money during the 2025 season, according to Tennis.com’s ATP review. That annual total and Forbes’ overlapping $8.6 million window cannot be added together. HMW uses each to establish the recent rate, then relies on cumulative career receipts rather than double-counting the same events.

His commercial mix includes Boss apparel, Head rackets, Rolex watches, Chipotle, Motorola and Maestro Dobel. Forbes’ $7 million off-court estimate is more defensible than guessing separate contract prices. The portfolio is diversified, but no source establishes ownership equity in those sponsors. Equipment, clothing and campaign travel supplied by a brand are also not automatically personal assets.

ATP profit sharing adds income beyond ordinary published draws. The ATP’s 2024 distribution allocated Fritz $417,681 of Masters profit share and $1,251,248 from the fixed bonus pool, alongside Masters prize money. Those specific amounts strengthen the model, but they are treated as gross receipts subject to the same tax and professional-cost deductions.

Fritz has property and personal investments that are not fully disclosed, and HMW assigns no social-media value to his relationship with Morgan Riddle. His philanthropy also reduces retained cash: AP reported that he donated roughly $82,000 of Australian Open prize money to Los Angeles wildfire relief. Donations are admirable uses of income, not assets still available to count.
