After retiring from playing, Robins transitioned into coaching and management. He has managed teams such as Rotherham United, Coventry City, Huddersfield Town, and Scunthorpe United. Robins has had success as a manager, leading Coventry City to win the EFL Trophy in 2017 and securing promotion to the Championship in 2020.
